Libertarian for Iowa House – No Republican in the race
From Eric Dondero:
There are a number of races around the country where no Republican has filed for the seat, only a Libertarian Party candidate. In such races it’s a no-brainer for Republicans to vote Libertarian. This website fully advocates our fellow Republicans doing so. This is especially true in California and Texas where a great many Libertarians have filed for seats with no GOP candidate against a Democrat for State Legislature or even Congress.
But other states face a similar situation. Here’s one from Iowa.
From the Iowa City Press-Citizen June 30:
University of Iowa medical school student and Libertarian Dustin Krutsinger announced Tuesday that he will make a run for state representative in District 30 against Jacoby, a Democrat who served in the Iowa House since 2003. No Republican candidates took part in the June primary.“I’m very realistic about the fact I will not win this race,” said Krutsinger, 27, of Coralville. “A vote for me is not a vote to get me into office. A vote for me is a vote for the issues I’m raising and the policies I’m advocating.”
